Meremere Dragway

Established in 1973 by passionate volunteers, NAPA Auto Parts Dragway, formerly Meremere Dragway, is New Zealand’s top drag racing facility. Located on Dragway Road in Meremere, just off State Highway 1, the track hosts major events such as the NAPA Auto Parts Competition Series, Night Speed Drag Wars, and the National Drag Racing Championship. The venue has grown with the sport, witnessing incredible advancements from 14-second runs to sub-6-second quarter-mile sprints exceeding 200 mph.

Operated by the Pukekohe Hot Rod Club, the dragway offers a variety of entry-level and professional racing opportunities, including Junior Dragsters and Teen Racing Championships. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023, the facility also features drift, dirt track, vintage speedway, and jet sprint activities, making it a hub for motorsport enthusiasts across the country. Central Muscle Cars

Founded in 2003, Central Muscle Cars was created by enthusiasts passionate about classic competition muscle cars. The series quickly gained popularity, attracting competitors and fans who love the power and spectacle of Australian and American muscle cars. Central Muscle Cars features production vehicles manufactured between 1958 and 1978, with eligibility requiring at least 1,000 identical units to have been produced within a year. The series is divided into two classes, Group 1 and Group 2, and a key rule is that drivers must own the car they race.

Known for their thrilling “Last Man Standing” show, Wild Bunch delivers heart-pounding action with some of the most iconic, high-horsepower machines on the track.
